Near Newport Beach
Why Newport Beach clients visit Massage Essence.
Massage Essence is not in Newport Beach. The studio is in Costa Mesa, close enough that Newport Beach clients already make the trip for a professional massage without the formality of a resort spa.
The rooms are clean, the therapists are licensed, and the hour is yours to use for relaxation or for muscles that feel sore. Customers come from Newport Beach, and from nearby Newport Coast, Corona del Mar, Eastbluff, and the Upper Newport Bay area.
We have been at the same Costa Mesa address since 2013. Read more on our about page.
Why people make the trip
Massage for stress, soreness, and recovery.
They want a comfortable room and a therapist who listens, then a massage that matches the day: unhurried, or more focused when something feels tight.
A calmer hour
Coconut oil or essential oil massage, or our signature massage, when the goal is to slow down.
When muscles feel sore
Deep tissue for tension and soreness. Hot stone is available as an add-on if you want warmth with the work.
After activity
CBD oil and sports massage for tired muscles, without turning the visit into a clinic appointment.
Two people, one visit
Couples massage is available when you want the hour together. Room availability varies, so booking ahead helps.
Quality massage without the resort-spa formality.
You do not need a package, a robe ritual, or a reason beyond wanting the hour. Tell your therapist the pressure you prefer and the places that feel tight. Shoulders and the back are common requests. Either can be included in a signature session or given more time with deep tissue.
How deeper work and sports massage are approached is on our relief and recovery page. The full menu is on massages. This is professional massage for relaxation and recovery, not medical care.

Professional with amazing results! I'm not really into getting massages, but the process here made me very comfortable. My therapist helped release the stress and tension I had been carrying for weeks. The rooms are lovely and clean. I'll definitely be back!
